Become the expert in the school
Probably need about 10 pages of notes
Use every book, website, magazine, newspaper, Youtube video, Twitter, expert you can to find good information
REMEMBER to write down your sources for your bibliography
Ask an expert
Create 7-12 questions to ask an expert
If you can't figure out who an expert is, ask around for ideas
Also write out your introduction if you are doing an in-person or phone interview
Write out a formal e-mail if you are e-mailing your question
Have your questions/e-mail's proofread by a teacher before sending
Compiling your information
Figure out which information goes together
Write in a font and size that is easy to read from a few steps away
Are you missing any important information. . . go back and research some more.
Display
Pick two or three main colors
Make the title easy to read
Think about where your pictures and text should go. Strike a balance.
Neatness is important. Cut straight. Place things on your display straight.
Matting helps your information stand out.
Will you include anything else in your display - models, charts, pictures, uniforms, artifacts, flags, costumes?
Presentation
Know your information so well that you do not have to read it off your board.
What information will you share? It doesn't have to be everything on the board. You can share extra.
Speak loud! Watch for distracting behaviors like speaking fast, swaying back and forth, or lots of umm's.

Split the class into 2 teams
Need to create a bulletin board that can teach the following topics

Board also graded on overall effect (use of space, consistency, eye appeal, neat, easy to read)
Boards will be graded next week Friday
You may use your textbook and computers to research information
You may decide to divide tasks or do everything as a group
Each day, each group will designate a different 'FINAL SAY' person. This person has final say on any decision that day. This person doesn't assign tasks, but gives direction on anything the the group needs decisions on.
The winning group will be able to use their bulletin board during the next quiz, and shall receive baked goods made by Mr. Bowman.
